ENMA Program Improvement Activities

 


During the summer of each academic year, ENMA program improvement activities are identified, planned, and executed.  This website summarizes annual improvement activities.


2005-2006

·         Curriculum

o    Courses: Developed (2) courses – ENMA 282 and ENMA 290.

·         Outreach

o    ENMA program communications:  Created web portal for ENMA-related materials, see: www.technologyforge.net/enma

o    University partnerships:  Signed letters of intent to cooperate with (5) major Polish technical universities – Warsaw, Cracow, Poznan, Wroclaw, and Gdansk.


2006-2007

·         Curriculum

o    Courses: Developed (2) courses – ENMA 283 and ENMA 284.

·         Assessment

o    ENMA course assessment:  Implemented on-line course and instructor assessment for all ENMA courses, available on-line to students at: www.technologyforge.net/ENMACourseAssessment.

·         Outreach

o    ENMA industrial advisory board:  Created industrial advisory board to stimulate continuous improvement of ENMA courses and program, see: www.technologyforge.net/enma/AB

o    University partnerships: Started teaching summer courses at Poznan and Krakow universities of technology, see www.technologyforge.net/STPDWarsaw.


2007-2008

·         Curriculum

o    Courses: Developed (1) new course – ENMA 294.

o    ENMA certificates:  Developed two new ENMA certificates for Fall 2008 offering, see: www.technologyforge.net/enma/ENMACertificates.htm

·         Assessment

o    ENMA program assessment:  Implementing on-line program assessment by ENMA program graduates and current ENMA students, available to students at: www.technologyforge.net/ENMAProgramAssessment

o    ENMA student performance assessment:  Implementing student performance assessment tool, first survey being conducted 05/08, results to be available to students at:  www.technologyforge.net/ENMAStudentPerformanceAssessment/

·         Outreach

o    Industry partnership:  Initiated  KDAM knowledge Discovery and Analysis in Manufacturing consortium, see: www.technologyforge.net/KDAM/

o    New Business Development: Involved in spin-out of MO-COE technology to Paradigm Sensors LLC, see: www.paradigmsensors.com


2008-2009

·         Curriculum

o    Courses: Develop and offer (2) new courses – ENMA 288 and ENMA 289.

o    Courses:  Adapt (2) courses to support external certificates (ASQ and PMI) – ENMA 279 and ENMA 281.

o    Virtual learning and teaming environment:  Initiate conversion of ENMA courses for on-line availability (pending resource availability), see: http://technologyforge.net/ENMAVLTE.

·         Assessment

o    Initiate peer review process for ENMA course deliverables.

·         Outreach

o    Develop “preferred sponsor” partnerships for ENMA course projects, see http://technologyforge.net/ENMATeamProjects/.

o    Obtain $5,000 in funding from industrial sponsor for (1) ENMA student team project.

o    Complete (1) Knowledge Discovery and Analysis in Manufacturing research project for industry sponsor, see http://technologyforge.net/KDAM.
