ENMA 288:  System Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis

Educational Objectives

Commensurate with the primary body-of-knowledge covered in the class, students completing this course should be able to:

  1. Model the characteristics of an existing or proposed system,
  2. Simulate qualitative and quantitative behaviors of the system,
  3. Analyze the performance of the system,
  4. Compare system performance to other systems or alternative system configurations,
  5. Propose appropriate system improvements.

These objectives are focused on enabling the student to conceptualize and document complete and accurate system requirements and specifications.

Students will demonstrate these capabilities primarily through preparation and presentation of homework assignments and written reports related to specific team projects.

In addition to these course-specific educational objectives, students will demonstrate enhanced skills and experience in the general areas specified in the ENMA program Outcomes and Indicators requirements.
