ENMA 6050:
Reliability, Failure Analysis, and Risk Assessment
Educational Objectives
Commensurate with the primary
knowledge/skill/experience areas covered in the class, students completing this
course should be able to:
- Characterize as-is performance of an existing or
planned manufacturing or business system,
- Identify critical variables that impact process
performance,
- Identify human factors and root causes that contribute
to process reliability issues,
- Conduct a failure mode and effects analysis
(FMEA) on the process,
- Assess management-related issues that impact
process reliability.
- Generate recommendations to improve the
performance of an existing or planned manufacturing or business system.
Students will demonstrate
capabilities in these areas primarily through presentations and written reports
related to a real-world industry/business-sponsored student team project.
