Vision and Goals

     The Master of Science in Engineering Management Program Advisory Board is a team of industry representatives, academics, and students proactively engaged in strengthening and advancing the MS-ENMA Program.  The Board facilitates continuous improvement of all elements of the Program, especially through review and recommendations on:

  1. Program goals and directions,
  2. Program metrics and results,
  3. Course content and delivery,
  4. Course and instructor evaluation,
  5. Program marketing and communication,
  6. Student enrollment and recruitment,
  7. Student team project topics and results,
  8. Industry partner sponsorship for student projects
  9. Alignment of program with Jesuit tradition of ethics-based education.

Advisory Board Time Commitment

·         Two meetings per year at end of Fall and end of Spring semester.

·         Minimum three semester commitment.

 

Advisory Board Roles

·         Board Chairperson:

o   Provide strategic leadership for Board.

o   Communicate and Coordinate Board review, recommendations, and Board activities with COE and COBA Deans.

o   Minimum one year commitment.

·         Meeting Facilitator:

o   Organize and facilitate meeting.

o   Host meeting at facilitator’s facility.

o   Rotates among local board members.

·         Board Members:

o   Participate in projects and meetings.

o   Serve as Program ambassadors.

 

Typical Meeting Agenda:

·         ˝ hr. – Program Director’s report* on actions since last meeting.

·         1 hr. – Review and recommendations for first four goal elements (cited above).

·         ˝ hr. – Break.

·         1 hr. – Review and recommendations for remaining goal elements.

·         ˝ hr. – Action items for next meeting.

 

* Report sent to Board members 2 weeks before meeting.
